2 Chron. 34:22-28 also tells
the story of Huldah.
During this time there were
male prophets such as Jeremiah and Zephaniah, but God used Huldah to convey His
message to King Josiah.
Jewish writers say that she
and Jehoiada the priest are the only persons not of the house of David ever
buried in Jerusalem
The rest of the story of the
impact of Huldah's message to Josiah is found in 2 Chron. 34:29-35:19 and 2
Kings 23:1-28 which tell of Josiah restoring true worship by breaking down the
high places and the altar at Bethel. He read the Word of God to the people, and
they celebrated the Passover. 2 Chron. 34:33 tells that Josiah made all who
were present in Israel diligently serve the Lord their God. All his days they
did not depart from following the Lord God of their fathers. His death is sad.
The account is in 2 Chron. 35:20-27.
